All The Long Day

All the long day, she stood there by the shore
Staring at the sun, waiting for the moon
Bathing in the warmth, although her heart was cold
Never growing old
Hoping for the day that must come soon
All the long day, All the long day
All the long day, the sun was beating down
The seasons did not change, and spring would never rise
Autumn leaves were perched, but none of them could fall
Until they heard her call
Or till the day she finally closed her eyes
All the long day, All the long day
All the long day, her heart would slowly beat
Calm and still she stood, and nowhere did she turn
Nothing would disturb her, she waited on her own
Always there alone
But deep inside her heart, a fire burned
All the long day, All the long day
All the long day, a hundred years and more
Never giving in and never seeking rest
Winters could not touch her, eternity passed by
Her love would never die
Love that flourished deep within her breast
All the long day, All the long day
All the long day, she stood there by the shore
Staring at the sun, waiting for the moon
Bathing in the warmth, although her heart was cold
Never growing old
Hoping for the day that must come soon
All the long day, All the long day

Idiot

It feels like I shot up
With you in the works
I’m too confused
To work out why it hurts, Idiot
Blindly, I reach out
My fingers get burned
They mean nothing to me,
These things that I know I should learn
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around .
Tormented I walk through
This valley of pain
I blister in heat.
And I drown in the rain, Idiot
This monster inside me
He pushes me on
And beaten, I give up
And do what I know is so wrong
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around, Idiot
Holding on to something pure
Somewhere out of sight
Deep inside this darkened hole
A fading, failing ray of light
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Standing up, falling down, Rolling around
Idiot, Idiot, Idiot

Fish

When you’re lonely and lost
When you’ve gone the wrong way
They’ll stone and criticise you
As you beg for your salvation
Fishing in some cold dead river
Wading through the weeds and mud
Pissing in the red, red river
Till the fear begins to freeze your blood
They don’t lie, they don’t swear
They won’t die, and they just don’t care
They don’t breed, they don’t cry
Because they’re dark little fish, that’s why
They always mess with your head
Somehow they know what you feel
And they will always have some story
That makes you wonder what’s real
It’s only suffering and pain
And you can lock it away
Beside their other little secrets
And they’ll never say they’re sorry
